Prof. Dr. Enzo Weber

Enzo Weber graduated in economics and completed his PhD at the Freie Universität in Berlin. Here he acted as a teaching and research assistant at the Institute of Statistics and Econometrics. He also participated in the Collaborative Research Center 649 “Economic Risk” at the Humboldt University in Berlin and visited the Japan Center for Economic Research. He held a postdoctoral position at the University of Mannheim and was Junior Professor of Economics at the University of Regensburg. In addition Mr Weber has served as a Research Professor at IAB.

Professor Weber works in the fields labour market, macroeconomics, forecasting, financial markets as well as econometrics. His labour topics comprise macroeconomic labour market development, labour demand and supply, unemployment, labour market reforms, labour market dynamics, demographics and pension, as well as technological change and digitalisation. Professor Weber acts as advisor to numerous institutions and is frequently contacted by the media.
