Dr Sabine Klinger

Sabine Klinger studied economics at the University of Leipzig. She received a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes) and was awarded her degree in 2001. Between 2001 and 2005 she worked as a researcher at the University of Leipzig completing her doctorate at the Institute of Empirical Economic Research (Dr. rer. pol.). After that, Dr. Klinger joined the staff of the IAB as a senior researcher. From time to time, she acted as the speaker of the Institute Commission and as Acting Head of her research department; she is currently a lecturer at the University of Regensburg. Dr. Klinger’s research concentrates on economic and structural effects on flow und population sizes in the labour market. In addition she contributes to the IAB’s forecasts concerning the short-term development of the labour market.
